Frizzy hair myths--> busted!

MYTH: only curly hair gets oily

FACT: all hair types→straight, wavy, curly, + coily can, + do experience frizz. Texture alone won’t create the frizz. It’s all about the humidity, damage, + the hair’s porosity.


MYTH: frizzy hair=unhealthy hair

FACT: even healthy hair can get frizzy. A lack of moisture can cause healthy hair to get a major attack of the frizzies. Damage can be a factor, but so can the current environmental factors your hair is dealing with.


MYTH: only heavy products will tame frizz

FACT: it’s actually just the reverse! Heavy formulas will tend to weigh the hairs down + often make it appear greasy. Lightweight, professional, active formulas will smooth hair without a buildup or weight.


MYTH: frizz only happens in humid climates

FACT: there’s no doubt that humidity is a major player when it comes to frizz, but it’s not the only player on the team. Frizz happens from dryness too! Friction from things like rough towels + pillowcases, or purses + clothes can cause frizz (+ breakage). Styling hair without the proper heat protectant will lead to frizz.


MYTH: washing less will reduce frizz

FACT: actually, when you skip wash day, you’re potentially causing buildup that will disrupt your perfect moisture balance… and you guessed it, this actually makes your frizzy hair worse! Finding the right washing regimen is the solution.
